Story Of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge Full Movie
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge Full Movie is a 1995 romantic drama film directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Chopra. The movie stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in lead roles, with Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal, and Anupam Kher in supporting roles. The movie is considered a cult classic and is still remembered fondly by fans of Hindi cinema. The movie tells the story of Raj (Shah Rukh Khan) and Simran (Kajol) and their journey of love and self-discovery.
The movie begins with Raj and Simran meeting on a trip to Europe. They are both Indian but have grown up in different parts of the world, with different values and beliefs. Raj is a carefree and fun-loving guy who has no interest in settling down, while Simran is a traditional girl who values family and culture. Despite their differences, they are drawn to each other, and they spend time together on the trip.
However, when they return to India, they realize that their families would never approve of their relationship. Raj belongs to a family of NRIs (Non-Resident Indians) who have adopted Western values, while Simran’s family is traditional and conservative. Simran’s father, Chaudhary Baldev Singh (Amrish Puri), has already arranged her marriage to his friend’s son, Kuljeet (Parmeet Sethi), and he has no intention of letting her marry anyone else.
Raj and Simran decide to elope and get married, but their plans are thwarted when Simran’s family finds out. Raj and Simran then embark on a journey to win the approval of Simran’s family and convince them to let them get married. They travel to Simran’s hometown, Punjab, where they stay with her family and try to win their hearts.
The rest of the movie follows Raj and Simran’s journey as they navigate through various obstacles and try to convince Simran’s family to let them get married. They face opposition from Kuljeet and his family, who are also interested in marrying Simran. They also face cultural differences and misunderstandings, but they persist in their efforts to win over Simran’s family.
The movie features some iconic scenes that have become a part of Hindi cinema folklore. The scene where Raj confesses his love for Simran in a mustard field, the scene where Simran runs to catch the train, and the scene where Raj’s father (Anupam Kher) gives him advice on love and life, are some of the most memorable moments in the movie.
One of the strengths of DDLJ is the exceptional performances of the cast. Shah Rukh Khan delivers a charismatic performance as Raj, and he brings a sense of charm and humor to the character. Kajol, in turn, delivers a brilliant performance as Simran. She captures the vulnerability and emotional depth of the character with ease and conveys the cultural conflict with great skill.
The supporting cast is also excellent, with Amrish Puri delivering a convincing performance as Chaudhary Baldev Singh. Farida Jalal, who plays Simran’s mother, is also excellent, and she brings a sense of warmth and compassion to the character.
The music of DDLJ, composed by Jatin-Lalit, is another highlight of the movie. The songs are melodious and memorable, and they add to the emotional impact of the story. The song “Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai” became an instant hit and is still remembered fondly by fans of Hindi cinema.
The movie also benefits from the excellent direction of Aditya Chopra. He brings a sense of authenticity and realism
